SimilarImages is a free application designed to find similar images (duplicates) on your harddrive.
It uses a fast Graphics Library to access the files and analyze the contents of the images and not the binary contents of a file.
Depending on these results (datasets) SimilarImages computes comparision values on a file-to-file base.
If this comparision value is below a certain, user-configurable value the file-pair will be considered to be similar and the Compare Files Window shows up.
"Impressive timesaver"
SimilarImages is really great. It finds pictures that are duplicates, but more impressive it finds pictures that nearly the same. That could be the same picture in a smaller size.
